As one year ends we take this chance to reflect on all the amazing opportunities that gave 2020 some of its high points. It might've been a tough year but below are some of the reasons we are looking forward to the New Year!
Work Ready Kāpiti #EmployerMeets
Over the course of August and September the Kāpiti Coast was host to the much anticipated #EmployerMeet Events. The #EmployerMeets saw local students meet with Kāpiti based employers from a range of businesses to partake in short interviews. These interviews were set up in a speed dating format designed to ultimately help the student to build vital interview experience, create meaningful connections and establish potential employment opportunities with the attending businesses. As nerve-racking as it is these meets are invaluable for the students, acting as a stepping stone towards employability and we are blessed to be a part of them and to witness the awesome impact these have on youth.

Electra Business & Innovation Awards

Just as the Work Ready Kāpiti Awards offered the opportunity for the community to network so did the Electra Business & Innovation Awards, which after COVID-19 proved is an invaluable asset. Iconic Construction Brand Relaunch
2020 saw Iconic Construction reach the milestone of 10 years in business and they decided to celebrate by having a brand relaunch party! Having an amazing team to work alongside, PomPom assisted in pulling off an awesome evening of celebrations. Their team morale and pride in their work is second to none! If you are in the Waikato and in need of building and constructions services look them up!
This year we were fortunate to be involved in the planning for the TECT Community Awards which unfortunately was taken online due to COVID. The team at TECT ended up creating a series of videos to share the presentations of all winners, which was an awesome plan and the veidoe series created a great buzz online. We have the absolute honour to be involved again for 2021 and this time we are hopeful we will also be able to assist delivering the physical event. So keep an eye out for our updates!
Another event Pom Pom was involved in was TEDxTauranga which saw Natalie volunteer to manage the marketing for the event. The event sold out with close to 700 people buying tickets.
It was a day of engaging speakers sharing ideas worth spreading, delicious food by The Honest Platter and a gathering of like-minded individuals open to new ways of thinking and positive change for the communities we live in.
Thank You!
This year had its ups and downs but we are honoured to have experienced and been a part of some amazing projects. 2021 is definitely looking up and we're so excited to see where this year takes us! Keep an eye out for some exciting new projects that will be coming out soon!
Again thank you to all our supporters and heres to 2021!
