For PomPom, 2021 has meant staying on our toes and working hard to make sure we can continue to provide excellent service to clients and guests alike.
The last few months of this year have been some of the most intense, with four of our largest events, the Work Ready Kāpiti Annual Awards, the Electra Business & Innovation Awards and both the Wellington/Manawatu and Taranaki EVolocity Regionals all in October and November!
With COVID’s constant influence we were on our toes and ensuring we had plan b’s and c’s to ensure our events were able to proceed. Here are some essential tips we've used religiously!
- Be flexible
- Be transparent about your decision with stakeholders and attendees
- Review time-sensitive items i.e contracts with external providers
- Roll with the punches!
For the Work Ready Kāpiti Annual Awards and EVolocity Regional events, we had to ensure the event followed strict level 2 guidelines through spacing out the audience and face masks for all guests. This meant we were still able to celebrate in style with local rangatahi, employers and colleges the achievements from 2021!
With the Electra Business & Innovation Awards, we moved it online and created a digital extravaganza for entrants and whānau to celebrate local Kāpiti and Horowhenua businesses successes from the safety of their bubbles.
We have worked hard to make the most of 2021 and all it’s thrown at us and as a team are looking forward to what is on the horizon for 2022.
Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you in the new year,
Meri Kirihimete from the PomPom Team,
Charlotte & Natalie
